Astro Fashion Forecast for 2008

"Anything goes”

This year, the fashion planets, Venus and the Moon are working in harmony so what women want (the Moon) and what is out there (Venus) will result in some really flattering and inspired creations in High Street fashion. 

In 2008, we will see an accent on the very feminine where catchwords like, attractive, harmonious, soft, romantic and relaxed will capture the essence of what is on offer throughout the seasons.

Soft fabrics with flowing lines in colours that are predominantly from the red, blue, lilac end of the spectrum will be easy to find and also, shades of green from sultry olive through to the lighter gentle greens found on some of our lovely British trees and plants that compliment pale translucent skins and the red hair of our Norse ancestors so well, and there will be an emphasis on fabrics that are easy to care for and keep their appearance well.

Anything casual that give freedom of movement and will adapt easily from travel or day to day wear to eveningwear with the minimum of effort will be popular. Silhouettes that suggest a completely different culture from the images traditionally associated with Britain’s western culture will be very appealing so fashions in the west that are inspired by the east will be in demand.

Both the Moon and Venus have associations with lilac, pale silver and purple this year so expect to see a lot of that around!

By the time we hit April, the “floaty” romantic look should really take hold and dominate the stores. Bright jewel like colours will also be in but they will be mixed with the blues, lilacs and dark reds and different shades of green that are emphasised in the fashion star chart for this year.

December looks like being amazing from the point of view on of what is on offer for the party season. High Street fashion will get it right for most of us, and the impact that it is likely to have on all our individual styles will be transforming and profound.
