The Astro Fashion Profile works so well because it is based on a sound knowledge of astrology and was carefully designed and tested on more than 100 client guinea pigs - and testing and refinement continues. Astrologer, Pat Harris, who holds the internationally highly regarded diploma in astrology of the Faculty of Astrological Studies, began work on the Profile’s creation and development in 1991.  She was later joined by fellow astrologer, Ruth Clydesdale, who helped to further refine the Profile between 1996 and 1998.

 A client who owned two fashion houses in Hampshire, suggested to Pat that she research the astrology of fashion among western women aged from 15 to 55 and how their horoscopes illustrated their fashion choices. From this, she created the original Astro Fashion Profile. Pat received a Master’s degree from Southampton University in Health Psychology in 1997 and studied for a PhD in the same subject. Her studies have reinforced her belief in the value of people feeling inwardly happy with their outer appearance. “If you feel happy, if you feel good about the way you look, you are naturally less stressed and research all over the world has shown that reduction in stress leads to an increase in health and well being. So, although the Profile has a real substantial fun element, it’s also a valuable way to look good, stay healthy and keep happy.”  Maintaining a good level of self esteem is a crucial component in the philosophy behind the development of the Profile - a component which Pat sees as an important motivating force for getting where you want to be in life. She says:

 “You can use the Profile as a guide to finding the “look” that reflects the true you. Create that look, and you’ll be amazed by the way in which your spirits are lifted, your self-image is improved and your self esteem is boosted.”  The Astro Fashion Profile, aims to guide you in the creation of your personal professional and romantic images.
